Privacy policy

This policy explains what biolockr collects, why, where it's kept, and the choices you have. biolockr is provided by Arcadia Perinatal ("we", "us").

What biolockr collects

Your account. Your name and email address from Apple or Google when you sign in. biolockr doesn't create or store a password for you.

The people you add. For each person you keep records for, up to six including you: the name and details you enter, such as a date of birth.

Records. Documents and photos you add, records your clinicians send you, recordings of visits you choose to make, the text of those recordings, and the summaries biolockr writes.

Sharing. The share links you create, what each one includes, and when it ends or was revoked.

The waitlist. If you join the waitlist, the email address you give us.

Technical information. What we need to run the service and keep it secure, such as your device type, app version and sign-in activity.

How biolockr uses it

• To store your records and show them to you.
• To read documents you add and write plain-language summaries of them.
• To turn visit recordings into text and write summaries made only from what was said.
• To deliver records your clinicians send, matched to the email address you use in biolockr.
• To create the share links you ask for, and end them when they run out or you revoke them.
• To keep the service secure and working, and to answer you when you contact us.
• To email you about the app's release, if you joined the waitlist.

Summaries are written by software and may contain mistakes. Check anything important with your clinician.

Where your information is stored

Your records are stored in the United States on Amazon Web Services (AWS). They're encrypted in transit and at rest.

Who we share it with

• People you choose. When you create a share link or QR code, anyone who has it can see what you included until it ends or you revoke it.
• Service providers. Companies that run parts of biolockr for us, such as AWS for storage and processing, and Apple and Google for sign-in. They handle your information on our behalf.
• When the law requires it. For example, to comply with a court order.

Your choices

• See and export. You can see everything in biolockr in the app, and export a copy at any time.
• Correct. You can edit the people you keep records for and the details you entered.
• Delete. You can delete a record, a person, or your whole account. See Delete your account.
• Stop sharing. You can revoke a share link at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your information, including under state consumer health data laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act. To use them, contact us.

Children

biolockr accounts are for adults. A parent or guardian can keep records for a child they look after.

How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your records as described on Delete your account.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
